Unpublish pages to quickly take content offline

    New feature
Unpublish pages to quickly take content offline

Page builder now includes an Unpublish feature that lets content authors and marketing managers quickly take a page offline without deleting it.

With Unpublish, you can:

  • Remove a page from the live site across all versions for a specific language.

  • Take campaigns or landing pages offline quickly while keeping all page versions intact.

  • Republish any version later by re-enabling its publishing availability.

When a page is unpublished:

  • All numeric versions of the page are marked as not publishable.

  • A publishing job is automatically triggered and can be monitored in the publishing jobs table.

  • The page layout and fields are removed from Experience Edge, while referenced content remains available for other pages.

  • The page is taken offline once the rendering host picks up the unpublished state, depending on caching and rendering strategies.

This feature gives teams faster control over page visibility while preserving content for future reuse.

In addition, the latest release of Page builder includes the following improvements:

  • The Publish button is automatically disabled when publishing is not allowed, reducing the risk of invalid publish actions.

  • The version drop down list now shows a Live tag to indicate which version of a page is currently published, helping authors understand the live state of their content.
